Dr. Stephanie Fussell

Stephanie Fussell, MD, was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge (LSU) and attended medical school at LSU in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Fussell did her residency at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was fellowship trained at Ochsner Clinic and LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

As a medical oncologist in the study and treatment of cancer, Dr. Fussell explains diagnosis, treatment options, and recommends what is best for each cancer patient. Medical oncologists specialize in treating cancer with chemotherapy, and work with the primary care doctor and other medical specialists.

Prior to her work with Memorial, Dr. Fussell was in private practice in medical oncology in Anniston, Alabama.
